SwipeClean Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-10
Overview
SwipeClean helps you review photos and videos on your device and choose items to delete. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, what stays on your device, and what may be shared with service providers.
Photos and videos
SwipeClean processes your photos and videos on your device so it can show review groups, thumbnails, previews, cleanup suggestions, and the Delete Review queue.
SwipeClean does not upload your photos or videos from the app.
Some media-related information may be stored locally on your device so the app can work properly. This may include asset identifiers, file sizes, dimensions, dates, album hints, location metadata, hashes or feature data, thumbnail cache keys, review decisions, and delete queue information.
Permissions
SwipeClean needs photo or media library access to scan, review, and delete media.
Your device may let you give full access, limited access, or no access. If you give limited access, SwipeClean can only see the photos and videos you selected. If you deny access, scanning and review features will not work properly.
You can change photo or media access in your device settings.
Information stored on your device
SwipeClean stores app data locally on your device. This may include:
- media scan data and metadata
- review decisions
- items marked for Delete Review
- app settings and theme preferences
- permission state
- cached thumbnails and previews
- analytics queue and session identifiers
Clearing app data or uninstalling the app may remove local settings, scan data, review history, queued items, and trial state. Purchases may be restored through the app store account used for the purchase.
Analytics and crash reports
SwipeClean uses Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve core features. This may include non-media information such as app events, feature usage, counts, platform details, session identifiers, and trial or purchase state.
SwipeClean uses Firebase Crashlytics to help diagnose crashes and technical problems. Crash reports may include device information, app version, operating system details, diagnostics, and crash logs.
SwipeClean does not use Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics to upload your photos or videos.
Purchases
SwipeClean uses RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play to manage purchases, entitlements, and purchase restoration.
SwipeClean does not directly collect or process payment card details. Payments are handled by the relevant app store and purchase provider.
